Re: Is there anyone using this site?

Thanks for a response, I have to agree with you. I am moving on to Debian Jessie Mate and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Mate. I see from views some people do come here, but no one ever says a darn thing. Also no moderator has checked in for months, which is highly unusual. Frustrating at the least as I loved the...

Is there anyone using this site? Is anyone running Point Linux? Do you think this site is dead? Is Point Linux dead?

Re: bluetooh dont work

I probably can't answer what is wrong with your system, but I think it is configuration. I had a similar problem with bluetooth. I was running Zorin 6 and using a HDMX speaker with it and all I had to do was pair it and it worked. I then install Ubuntu Mate 16.04 LTS and while it found the speaker a...

Re: bluetooh dont work

You need to be a bit more specific about your problem with bluetooth. Does bluetooth sync? Start by going to sound preferences and looking at your hardware input and output. Is your device there, is it selected and active?

Re: Forum help

Here is a generic Linux forum. It is somewhere you should be able to find some help if you need it. Remember Point is basically Debian.

Forum help

I see there are people looking for help in this forum. I can't say you won't get it, but I also doubt that you will find much help here. I have not seen a moderator sign on in over a month. There has been an open discussion of alternatives to Point and the developer has not commented on it. While I ...

Re: Missing "WLAN0"

Glad you got your wireless working. Driver should have been installed by default, but it was still missing. Did the live CD/USB wireless work before you installed Point? Did you hash the ISO? Maybe the download failed for your driver? Point is a great Debian-Mate distro. I do wish the forum was more...

Re: Missing "WLAN0"

I am no expert but I did look at Synaptic for network software. Check if all of these are installed: libproxy1-plugin-networkmanager libkio5 libntrack0 network-manager-gnome network-manager libnm-util2 libnm-glib4 libnm-gtk-common libnm-gtk0 If those are all installed correctly then type in "wi...

Re: alternatives

I have been waiting for the official Debian Mate and it is now out. I am keeping Point Linux on my laptop, but I also installed Debian Jessie 8 (Mate) and will be using that as my main Distro from here on. I used the graphic installer. It was a bit harder than the Ubuntu installer but not unmanageab...
