Not focused to opened window

Not focused to opened window

Postby maspai » 28 Jan 2014, 05:01

Hi all.

Often I open an application from application menu or by pressing my custom keyboard shortcut for it, the application window doesn't appear on top of other windows. Though, the panel does tell me that a new window is opened with a new button on it blinking and bold-labelled.

This is not big problem but decreases my convenience. By the way, I love this distro.

Thanks for answers.

Well, the lost focus thing happens in Gnome2 MATE from time to time, but it happens very seldom so I'm sure you've got another problem. Do you run Compiz?

No, I don't use any compositing manager (CMIIW). However, can I solve this by updating MATE? If yes, does it mean that I should use Debian testing repo?

Are you on PL 2.2 or the PL 3.0 Beta version?

Sorry to reply too long. I'm using PL 2.2. BTW, I'm using conky too.
