since firefox v. 29 is late in repos, please find enclosed simple instruction how to install and use mozilla compiled version. I'm not sure if it's better but different for sure.

looks a bit like chrome

and synchronization is simplified.

and here there are versions 29.0.1 (64b) for different languages

Firefox 29.0.1 is built and uploaded to the Point Linux 2.3 repo. Wait till it appears in a mirror near you.

EDIT: The new interface seem to be faster compared to the previous versions. I like the update.

Today I reinstalled Point Linux, after some experiments :D , and I found the new Firefox after the first reboot without doing system updates, Firefox is updated during the installation? excellent!

MarcoLinux, welcome to the forums!

Firefox is installed during the installation because it is pulled out as a dependency by a language package firefox-locale-* (where asterisk is your two letter locale abbreviation). :)

the newest firefox (ver 32) has been published a few days ago. Peter, can we expect the browser in repo soon? maybe Libreoffice should be also upgraded (for those not using backports. there are ver. 4.1.4 for point and 4.2.6 for backports but the newest one is 4.3.1).
