DVD Ripping software?

DVD Ripping software?

Postby TNFrank » 24 Jan 2014, 20:23

I've been trying to find some DVD ripping software that'll work with Point Linux but all of the ones I've tried to install from Terminal can't be found. I've tried Handbrake, DVDRip, AcidRip and even OGMRip with no luck. I did have OGMRip installed under Ubuntu/GNOME and it looked like a pretty simple one to use, I'd like to install it under Point Linux but if you go to the OGMRip home page and click on the Debian download sight for it all you get is a Russian Biker web site, go figure. LOL.
Anyone know of a simple DVD ripper with a easy to use GUI that I can download from Terminal or just download the .deb package and install with gdebi ?? Thanks.

Ok, I managed to install Handbrake after I installed a couple dependent packages that it needed. I'm ripping a DVD right now and I guess I'll see how it goes. I'd like to be able to convert them to something smaller so I could get 3 or 4 DVD's on a single 8MB USB stick for travel. Anyway, wish me luck.
