Point Linux3.0 RC or Final?

Point Linux3.0 RC or Final?

Postby GB Jim » 06 Apr 2015, 11:28

I heard Debian Jessie is ready for final release later this month. Anyone heard from Pry as of late? Any word on when the next Point Linux release will be out?
Any info would be appreciated. Hate to seem impatient. but I am ready to update my OS.

Jessie Release
==============

We now have a target release date of Saturday the 25th of April. We
have checked with core teams, and this seems to be acceptable for
everyone. This means we are able to begin the final preparations for
a release of Debian 8 - "Jessie".

hi Jim. interesting question. if I know Peter is going to answer a little later (he has no holidays as I have for example).

I must say I'm a bit afraid of new Debian. I hope Wheezy and Point 2 will also be supported a little longer. I do not know if the systemd solution is right one.

cheers,

Thanks Maroman. I wish I understood more about systemd and the changes coming in Jessie. I have read some on it, and know Debian is forking because of it, but I can't say I understand the whole thing.

hi, hello.
two months have passed and there is no new messeges. the state of works on point 2 and 3 might be inetersting for all. I would like to use point 2 as long as possible but the newer options seems to be interesting too.

Peter, how are you doing :Yahoo!: ? what is the future of the distro? :cry: ??

cheers,
