Hello there!

Point Linux is build on Debian Wheezy, which is also Testing now. Stable is still Squeeze so far. Once Debian moves Wheezy to Stable, Squeeze will be moved to Oldstable. Why Debian made it this way? It's simple. You can write in your /etc/apt/sources.list:
Code: Select all
deb http://cdn.debian.net/debian wheezy main non-free contrib

and you'll always be on wheezy release, doesn't matter if it's testing, stable, or oldstable. If you write:
Code: Select all
deb http://cdn.debian.net/debian testing main non-free contrib

you'll always be on testing release, doesn't matter if it's, wheezy, jessie, you name it.
