Firefox ESR

i was wondering how do i install firefox esr on point linux and well the point linux team offer firefox esr on there next release? the reason why i ask this is because firefox 35 has a serious memory leak and it's very bloated.

look here http://mozilla.debian.net/
there is iceweasel esr version is in debian repository. you can check and/or install via synaptic. you can also install directly writing

sudo apt-get install iceweasel

at the moment there is ver 31.4.0

you can also dwonload and install firefox manually. some instructions are somewhere on the forum

i find iceweasel a bit slower in most cases but thanks i give it a try.

think it's subjective. I've been using for years and can't see any difference.
you can manually install firefox (download, unpack, make symlink etc) as I wrote before

thanks Peter for the firefox upgrade :good: .

but I'm wondering why not install firefox esr version instead the newest one. the version changes are twice less frequent. the functionality is almost the same (there is halo communicator but I've never used it).
