I think these 3 categories are fine.

Congratulations for the link, you found the list. I was not able to find better :

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_layout
And two another links for viewing Keyboard layout by country

Pry, a little (and perhaps stupid) question : have you looked how the Debian installer manage this problem ?
Perhaps there is not the need to reinvent the wheel ;)

Dagg,
thanks, these links will be helpful. It's strange but there are not much about keyboard layouts.

I have a thought to peep it in the Ubuntu or Debian installer too. I'll fix the bug, then upload the new installer verstion and ask you test installation.

What do you mean 'fixed'? It's the installer problem and it can only be fixed in the next Point Linux minor release.

Sounds terrifying...

Alright, looks like I'm done. The updated installer is in repos now. It will take some time to mirror it though so have patience. Alernatively you can grab it from packages.pointlinux.org.

I need testers and your feedback now!!!
What you should do to test the latest installer:
1. Boot the LiveDVD/USB
2. Run sudo apt-get update to update your package lists
3. Run sudo apt-get install pointlinux-installer
4. Run the installer, install the system. VirtualBox is just fine for testing purposes.
5. Write your feedback here. Do not forget to write where are you from and what do you think about the new keyboard layout configuration.

Please do not write about anything else here, this update changes the keyboard layout configuration only.

Do you know how to kill a topic? Ask someone test something... :(

Seriously, folks, I really need your help. Especialy Europeans with single layout keyboards (France, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, etc...) and folks with Dvoraks. Remember, Point Linux fate is in your hands!

Hello Pry,
sorry for waiting so long. I've tried two ways:

1. start PL-Installer with network connection / 2. start PL-Installer without network connection

Every time the keyboard layout works fine. I use German layout. Great work!
Have a good time with Point Linux.
