I've installed PL without GRUB. How to see it?

Postby AlexMcGregor » 13 Nov 2014, 06:48

Hello everybody

I've set PL to partition with another OS (Mint 17) on it and choosed "not to set GRUB up". And now I can get to Mint but GRUB don't see PL. How to add PL to GRUB now?

Thanks a lot for your answer

start your mint and run in terminal
Code: Select all
sudo update-grub

to generate new /boot/grub/grub.cfg file. your mint installation is default and on the first position. if you want to change you should edit (as a root) /etc/default/grub file, namely line
Code: Select all
GRUB_DEFAULT=0

counting starts from 0. you can also change some lines of the above file to start (by default) always the last used distro
Code: Select all
GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true

#GRUB_DEFAULT=0
