ok on my pointlinux install i removed network manager how i reinstall thanks as its deleted from
menu panel and in startup applications

oh i messing up bad hehe 2 errors in 2 hours :(

your post is a bit chaotic. please write with capital letters and precise. do you have internet connection or not?

All fixed did a new install as had many faults

oh i was messing around trying to break the system as iam putting it on a few old laptops for kids in my neighbour hood
and had to do things that kids may do break all the toys

Okay. So, the Network Manager is a great thing, you should not remove it. Just don't give your kids the root (or sudo) password if you don't want them break the system. Make new users for them in the newly installed system instead and don't give them admin rights.

@dab, additionally you can install ceni (from aptosid repository). and use it as a background network tool in case deleting network manager ;) I use it instead network manager in distro built by myself and works great.
